The Method

Structured 1:1 mentorship for ambitious teenagers.

We help 13–18 year-olds find their direction, build a real initiative around it, and launch it publicly. Eight weeks, with a mentor who's done it at their age. Here's exactly how it works.

01 — The Principle

Direction comes from doing, not thinking.

Most teenagers are told to figure out what they're passionate about before they start anything. We've found the opposite works better.

Direction doesn't come from thinking about the future. It comes from engaging with the present. Every person who found meaningful work discovered it the same way — by starting something, learning from their experience, and following what stood out.

That's the principle the entire 8 weeks is built on. We don't ask your child what they want to do with their life. We ask what they want to build in the next two months.

02 — The Project

We look for what makes each child themselves.

Through directed questions, exercises, and conversations, we build a portrait of your child. What do they notice that other people miss? What looks like play to them but looks like work to others? Where do they find flow? Questions most teenagers never seriously thought about — with somebody who helps them piece together the answers.

From all of this, we look for the throughline: the pattern that connects what they're drawn to, what they're naturally good at, and where a real problem exists. The project then emerges from that. That's why it gets finished.

03 — The Science

Built on what actually produces motivation.

The programme is built on decades of research in self-determination theory, self-efficacy, and project-based learning — the science of what actually produces motivation, confidence, and direction in young people.

We've written about why this approach works →

In practice

A project they actually want to lead. So they see it through.

Real teaching, not a hand-off — eight one-hour sessions with Matyas, every week. We bring the structure, the deadlines, and the guidance; your child does the building. We're there to direct the work, never to do it for them.

The Programme

Eight weeks. Four phases.

Phase 01 · Weeks 1–2

Discovery

Self-analysis, direction, idea selection.

Your child identifies what actually drives them, and looks for a problem that is genuinely relevant to somebody.

Phase 02 · Weeks 3–4

Building

Structure, identity, content.

The initiative gets detailed: what it is, who it's for, what problem it solves. Then the most important part — first real-world contact. First outreach, first email, first public post. The transition from thinking to doing.

Phase 03 · Weeks 5–6

Launch

Execute, and see what happens.

Real participants, real feedback, real results. The feeling of creating something on their own. We support independence while directing attention to the things that need to get done.

Phase 04 · Weeks 7–8

Moving forward

Iteration, reflection, packaging.

We decide on next steps: a second event, a growth plan, the goals beyond eight weeks. Then we reflect on the journey — and finish by creating a clear account of what they made and what it says about them.

What's included

Everything they need to launch.

What you'll have in hand

Before Week 1

The Founder Kit

A pre-built workspace, templates, and scripts — ready before day one, so the first week is spent building, not setting up.

After Week 1

A profile of your child

A written report on your child: their strengths, where they struggle, what genuinely interests them, where their potential is highest, and the handful of high-leverage points that will move them furthest — a clear picture of who they are, and where to push.

At the end

A packaged story

A guided reflection, then a finished artifact — a recorded pitch, a written case study, or a documented account of what they built. Something real to point to in interviews, admissions, and applications.

Support around the work

Every week

Weekly 1:1 sessions with Matyas

One focused hour every week, built around your child's project, with clear assignments and deadlines between calls.

Every week

Weekly parent updates

A written update every week — exactly what your child worked on, and where they're growing. You're never left guessing.

At launch

Hands-on launch support

When it's time to go public, we're in it with them — the outreach, the first email, the first post, the real-world moment.

After the programme

Alumni support

It doesn't end at week eight. Once they're in, they're in — they can message us anytime afterward with questions about their project or their direction, and we'll answer.

Our guarantees

No risk, either way.

If it's not the right fit, tell us within the first two weeks and you get a full refund — no questions asked. And if your child finishes the eight weeks without launching, we keep working with them, free of charge, until they do.

Investment
